Is Northwell right for my child?
We know this is not an easy decision. This page is here to help you work out whether Northwell Education is likely to be a good fit — honestly and without pressure.
Signs Northwell could be a good fit
If several of these apply to your child, Northwell is worth a conversation.
- They are aged 15 to 19 and not currently in mainstream education
- They have struggled to engage in a traditional school environment
- They need a smaller, more supportive setting to rebuild confidence
- They are NEET or at risk of becoming NEET
- They have been permanently excluded or are on a managed move
- They want to work towards a qualification but need a different route
- They respond better to practical, project-based learning
- They need support with routines, attendance and self-management
When Northwell may not be the right fit
We will always be honest with you. If we do not think we are the right place, we will say so and help you find what is.
- They are currently settled and progressing well in mainstream school
- They require one-to-one specialist therapeutic support beyond our provision
- They are under 15 or over 19 years old
