Every learner is different. We would not have it any other way.
We know that young people learn, grow and find their confidence in different ways and at different paces. At Northwell, that is not a challenge to manage. It is something we genuinely celebrate. We take the time to understand each person, what they need, what they love and what they are working towards. We build warm, consistent relationships because we know that feeling truly supported makes all the difference. When a young person knows the people around them care, really care, they start to believe in what is possible. That is the heart of everything we do.

What people say
From the young people we work with, the families who trust us and the schools who refer to us.
"The teachers really believed in me. I didn't want to go to uni but they inspired me — I'm now doing an access course to get into teaching."

Breakfast and morning check-in
Every day starts with breakfast together. It is a relaxed, social start — a chance to settle in, catch up and feel ready before the day begins. No pressure, no register anxiety.
Where our learners go next
Every young person who comes through Northwell leaves with a plan. Here is where they go.
Back into school
Year 10 and 11 learners remain on roll at their school throughout. Attending two days a week with us, they build the confidence and routine to return to the classroom fully.
Level 1 courses
Learners progress to Level 1 programmes at local further education colleges, building on the foundation they gained at Northwell.
Level 2 and Level 3
With a vocational qualification in hand, many learners move on to Level 2 and Level 3 study, opening doors to higher education and professional careers.
Apprenticeships and employment
Many learners move directly into apprenticeships or employment, equipped with the practical skills, confidence and work-readiness that employers value.
